Our manufacturing and distribution group employs over 1,200 professionals and personnel of diverse races, tribes, and ethnicities, making us a truly inclusive and diverse family. We have a presence across multiple cities in Nigeria, with gradual but growing products penetration into the West African region.

Ashish Checker
Founder and CEO
Ashish Checker is a highly accomplished Founder and CEO of Checkers Africa. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from MTE, Mumbai, and an MBA in Sales and Marketing from Wellingkars Institute. With eight years of experience running his family business, Ashish joined Tolaram Group in 2003 as a Branch Manager and swiftly rose to become the General Manager.
In 2009, he was appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer (Sales). Ashish is not only a successful business leader but also enjoys golfing and playing tennis in his leisure time. His exceptional leadership and expertise continue to drive the success of Checkers Africa in the African market.
Karan Checker
Co-founder and Managing Director
Karan Checker, an MBA graduate from Wellingkar Institute in Mumbai, is an accomplished business professional with over 20 years of experience in FMCG sales in Nigeria and Ghana. Previously serving as the General Manager at Power Pasta, a Tolaram Group subsidiary, Karan has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills.
As the Co-founder and Managing Director of Checkers Africa, Karan brings extensive industry knowledge and a focus on delivering exceptional results. His dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the company.
